4 BATTLE LINE THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
by Eddie Lawrence
1. SMILE AND WAVE!
Why? It’s not just about you. When you shake 20 people’s hands and they shake 20 people’s hands who shake 20 people’s hands, in a short amount of time the potential exists for everybody to get what anybody’s got! What you can handle may be very dangerous for someone with a compromised immune system to handle. This is a great time to actually say with words what we often communicate with our hands. (Examples – "So good to see you!", "God bless you today!", "Love you much!", "Have a good day!",
"Great to meet you!", and so forth.)
2. SCRUB AND RUB!
This is something you can do that will help you and help others. Let’s limit the length of time a germ can serve by putting germs on term-limits. Scrubbing our hands with soap and water when it is available and rubbing them with hand sanitizer at other times is a simple and helpful practical step you can take.
3. LIVE BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT!
We must not be paralyzed by a fear that freezes our focus on this world’s problems and takes our eyes off the reality of God’s promises. As a believer, there are unseen powers at work on our behalf.
-The Holy Spirit. (Prayer – Thank you Lord for the presence of your Holy Spirit in my life. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.)
-The angels who are God’s ministering spirits sent to help us. (Prayer – Thank you Lord for your ministering spirits who are working around me so that I can live out the inheritance I have from you. Thank you that those who are for us are more than those who are against us!)
-The covenant blood of Jesus with sin, sickness, and curse breaking power. (Prayer – Thank you Lord for the power of Jesus blood that breaks every chain and overcomes all the power of the enemy.)
-The promises of the Word of God which God Himself watches over to perform in our lives. (Prayer- Thank you Lord for your Word on which I anchor my life and which will withstand every storm that comes my way. Your word is settled forever!)
4. REALIZE THIS TOO SHALL PASS
This crisis we are in is a season and it will pass. It will come to an end. Let’s live to see the end of this season rather than allowing fear to convince us that this thing will bring us to our end. I read the book and we win. It is our faith in God that will allow us to be assured of the victory that is already ours as believers. It is the time to put our hand to the plow, fix our eyes on Christ, and live the life of Faith. He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to
completion.
