This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. I know in many churches congregations will acknowledge those who laid it all down to protect and defend our freedoms and the freedom of others. Here is a moving tribute that is just instrumental music and pics. I am thinking of showing this in our service on Sunday as a time to reflect and honor the sacrifices of those who have served and given their lives in service of our nation. See what you think:

I just finished and posted a new outline that I think you will find very needful for your toolbox. It is easy to preach and needful to hear. If you know anyone who needs a miracle from God, then this will encourage them in a very simple way.

I try to listen to something inspirational often as I also do this with something humorous. I find it helps me. I just watched a clip from Rocky Balboa that is very very good. In it, he addresses his son who had been complaining about having to live in his shadow. It's a great speech and one that could be used on Father's day for sure to bring out how a Dad should speak to his children's destiny and encourage them to be courageous. Watch and enjoy.

With Pentecost Sunday coming up, I thought I would share with you the message I am preparing. It has the bones (main points) and some application points for you. I think you will find these five points and the ideas contained therein to be a good solid bible based message that calls people to live the daily empowered life of Christ.
