Grace House Update from Pastor Eddie
Think About It...
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear."
~ Ambrose Redmon
Beginning Today - November 1st A Month of Sweetness & Strength
Elder David Clark recently was stirred by the Lord out of a passage in the book of Judges with the result being that we should consider inviting our congregation to set aside time daily for the 30 days of November to have praise and communion. He shared this in detail this Weds. night before last in the service. I believe this is certainly a positive way for us to come together to experience God's presence and wisdom for this season of our lives. So here is what I ask each of you to consider doing:
As Individuals/Families - Consider having communion together each day at home. We will make available to you disposable communion cups and bread. You can buy a small container of grape juice and you will be set for the month.
Just before you partake of communion, spend time just praising and thanking God. Focus on what He has done and what He is doing without asking Him for anything. Just praise and thank Him.
As a Congregation - We will celebrate communion each Sunday throughout the month of November in our Sunday morning service along with times of praise and thanksgiving.
Let's believe together that this special focus will bring greater sweetness and strength to us all.
This Sunday - Six Devil Defeating Reminders
The Apostle Peter had some strong words for believers about dealing with the Devil. We will look at this passage together on Sunday and I believe receive some insight, encouragement, and equipping to live out our Christian life as stronger people of God. I hope to see each of you present and please think about someone whom you can invite to be at the service as well.

We will have lots of fun as we fellowship and build relationships with other women. Message me or Kristi Clark for more details.

Fall Festival was a great success!
They just kept coming in last night at Grace House. We had a great time as many people from various churches attended our Fall Festival with their children. Franie, Jason, and several others did a fantastic job of having lots of fun activities, pizza, candy and games ready for all. The fellowship was wonderful and it was such a blessing seeing the kids having a blast. Thanks to all of you who helped.
Standing room only on Wednesday Night for Movie Premier
We were all blessed Wednesday night by the movie and guys who ministered from the DEADRAISER team. The ARK hosted this event and a dear layman in the area provided tons of food for all who came. The place was packed out, the worship was wonderful, and the people rejoiced as they heard stories of people who were snatched from dead by the powerful love of Jesus. It was good to witness God at work.
We Don't Want to Leave You Out!
We are UPDATING our Grace House Email List that Mikki uses to send Announcements and Prayer Requests. You should have received an email that asks you to confirm to be added to this NEW LIST. This is in addition to the email list you are reading from now. You need to be on both these lists. Their purposes are different.
So please check your inbox for this past Thursday morning, Oct 3 for the confirmation email from Grace House. If you cannot find it, then try this form:
We are so grateful for the togetherness that our life groups are enjoying.
Our Life Groups Ministry is touching lives. I rejoice to hear about how our groups are praying for one another, ministering the Word to one another, going places together, building deep relationships. This is an important part of the family life of belonging to a local congregation.
If you have questions about being in a group or leading a group, just get with Hillard and Charlotte Matthews who lead our Life Groups ministry.
You are now able to view all the options on our new Life Groups website at LIFEGROUPS.INFO
Please check it out!
Our Next Grace House Mission Trip -- Looks like late January.
Please be praying for the development of our next mission trip. This team will purposely be a very small team due to the travel schedule and arrangements and assignment.
About nine years ago the Lord really touched me deeply concerning the island nations. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to see the Lord do some amazing things in the Caribbean. We had an awesome time in Trinidad last year and this past April we saw God do a mighty work in Carriacou and Petite Martinque. It looks as if our next trip will be to Barbados with the possibility of island jumping to revisit Trinidad and Carriacou.
There is no doubt that developing a missions heart is one of the greatest things a congregation can do.
Have A Laugh....
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.
They boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.
The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?"
They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"
The youngest brother gasped for breath and replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time dude. God is missing and they think WE did it!"
