Grace House Update from Pastor Eddie
Think About It...
What kills a skunk is the publicity it gives itself."
-- Abraham Lincoln
"Every now and again take a good look at something not made with hands: a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream. There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world."
-- Sidney Lovett
"Do you wish to rise? Begin by descending. You plan a tower that will pierce the clouds? Lay first the foundation of humility."
-- Saint Augustine
"Humility does not mean thinking less of yourself than of other people, nor does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts. It means freedom from thinking about yourself at all. "
--William Temple
This Sunday: Breaking Out of the Bad Day Blues
You may be surprised at the Scripture we look at Sunday and how transparent one of God's choice servants was about what he was dealing with. I definitely think you will be encouraged when you hear how you can overcome the Bad Day Blues when they show up at your front door steps. This is a very practical and biblically rooted word that I believe the Lord will speak to us through this Sunday. Please be in prayer that the Holy Spirit would bring revelation and transformation to us all.
Come and bring a friend! Who could you call and invite to come? Is there someone you have not seen lately that you could call and encourage? Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for Being on Time!
We have been doing much better at starting our services on time and I want to thank you for being there ready to worship. The last few weeks we have more people there when we first start the service. By all means, come on -- even if you cannot get there at 9:00 a.m.; but, it really helps when we redeem the time by starting on time with as many as possible. Love you and so thankful to God for all He is doing in our midst.
Last Sunday was a Powerful Time Together!
I am encouraged be the response and reports I have received about what people received in last Sunday's service. You can hear the 5 Words here.
Testimonies
This past Tuesday evening I prayed with a very dear lady who has been suffering from broken ribs due a fall and also she has extreme dizziness and problems with her muscular function. She had been bound to bed for several days, unable to sleep or get up with without assistance. We agreed together in prayer for Father to touch her body, relieve the pain, restore the use of her muscles, and enable her to sleep. The next afternoon, she shared with me that God had intervened. After several days of pain, dizziness and sleeplessness -- she slept all night, got up unassisted the next morning with her leg muscles working well and without dizziness. She was so grateful to God and so was I. Thank you Jesus.
Also this week, I witnessed a really precious lady experience some deep healing, new levels of freedom, and restored joy as the gentle powerful Spirit of Christ moved with love, grace, and authority within her life. It was truly an humbling sight to behold. Jesus is so incredibly awesome.
This past Wednesday night, in our joint service with the ARK, we once again witnessed the Lord touching people. There was prophetic ministry, healing ministry, and such a precious tangible presence of the Lord in our midst. Yeah God!
Register now for the Super Seers Conference week after next.
A wonderful opportunity for equipping and activation in the prophetic is coming soon here at our facility. The ARK is hosting Jonathan Welton's annual Seer Conference August 29-31. Hook Up With A Life Group!
We are so grateful for the togetherness that our life groups are enjoying.
This past week a few different people shared with me how much the Life Groups Ministry is touching their lives. I rejoice to hear about how our groups are praying for one another, ministering the Word to one another, going places together, building deep relationships. This is an important part of the family life of belonging to a local congregation.
If you have questions about being in a group or leading a group, just get with Hillard and Charlotte Matthews who lead our Life Groups ministry.
You are now able to view all the options on our new Life Groups website at

Our Next Grace House Mission Trip -- Looks like late January.
Please be praying for the development of our next mission trip. About nine years ago the Lord really touched me deeply concerning the island nations. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to see the Lord do some amazing things in the Caribbean. We had an awesome time in Trinidad last year and this past April we saw God do a mighty work in Carriacou and Petite Martinque. It looks as if our next trip will be to Barbados with the possibility of island jumping to revisit Trinidad and Carriacou.
We will keep you posted on the details as they emerge. We will let you know the requirements for participating as well as costs and dates soon. There is no doubt that developing a missions heart is one of the greatest things a congregation can do.
Have A Laugh....
Q: What happens if you eat yeast and shoe polish?
A: Every morning you'll rise and shine!
Q: "What's the difference between a guitar and a fish?"
A: "You can't tuna fish."
Q: Did you hear about the race between the lettuce and the tomato?
A: The lettuce was a "head" and the tomato was trying to "ketchup"!
