Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me.
~ Jim Elliot
Maturity doesn't come with age; it comes with acceptance of responsibility.
~ Ed Cole
A man ought to live so that everybody knows he is a Christian...and most of all, his family ought to know.
~ Dwight L Moody
Testimonies
Giving thanks in all things is so important in the Christian life. It keeps our focus on the source of all good things. Seeing the goodness of God in the middle of the attack of the enemy takes faith and confidence in God. I was just thinking of so many of you who have kept your eyes on the Lord in the middle of your battle. Here are a few testimonies that I wanted to praise the Lord for. Each of these are evidences of God's grace in action and His love extended.
~A dear lady who testified that she was healed in our worship service from a painful issue in her foot.
~A doctor who could report after surgery to remove cancer that all of the cancer was successfully removed.
~A lady facing a major trying transition in her life who shared with the congregation, "I have peace!"
~A young woman who testified that God has supplied her needs to enable her to go to Thailand on a mission trip.
~ A young man who received an answer to prayer from God in the form of a new job that was quiet a promotion for him that enables him to provide for his family and to have the desires of his heart met as well.
~ A praise report from a dear man who has suffered long and been hospitalized for a long time with an infection in his body that the infection is now gone and he is beginning to gain strength.
~ A man who tearfully shared how he encountered God at the end of a recent worship service and was deeply touched by God at a very low spot in his life.
~ A young woman and family who testified that a prophetic word was a very encouraging confirmation for her.
~ One of our men who testified that the Lord has enabled him to lead four of his fellow employees to Christ at the job where he works and he also was able to attend the baptism service of one of them.
~ A young minister who contacted us to share that God was ministering to him powerfully through our podcasts and helping him grow in his own walk with the Lord..
~ A report from one of our life groups of a number of personal powerful testimonies of how God was working in people's lives.
~ A man who shared in the last couple of months that his mind had been renewed and for the first time he was realizing that he really is righteous through the finished work of Christ.
~ A little 2 year old who showed me the beautiful craft she made in her class with her own hands and the help of a teacher with loving hands.
This Sunday:
THANK YOU DADDY GOD!
Happy Father's Day to all Dads! I will be calling our attention to several things we ought to be grateful for when we think about our DADDY GOD. Of course, these will also encourage all earthly dads and parents to walk in His steps. When we really think about the access we have to our Heavenly Father, it should cause us to break out in the Hallelujah chorus. Please come and bring a friend. See ya Sunday!
We are excited about Summer camp at Springfield for our preteens on July 19 - 22. The cost for our Grace House preteens will be $100 (The church is offsetting the cost to make it more affordable for those desiring to go). See Allison Fisher for more details and to sign up.

Have A Laugh....
An Illinois man left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day.
When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her email address, he did his best to type it in from memory.
Unfortunately, he missed one letter and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream and fell to the floor in a dead faint. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:
DEAREST WIFE: JUST GOT CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING PREPARED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL TOMORROW.
P.S. SURE IS HOT DOWN HERE.
