This Coming Sunday
Christmas: The Forerunner of Miracle Seasons
Have you ever thought about how miraculous the season was that surrounded the first Christmas? We will look at this awesome forerunner of miracle seasons and gain insights of how to tap into miracle seasons in our own lives. Now, like then, it all surrounds Jesus!

Wow! What fun we are having.
The image to the left was from our Preteens who recently met for a Christmas part and had a blast. We are grateful for the gifts they gave to help someone in need and for the relationships they are creating as a group. Way to go preteens and way to go Allison.
Our Grace Kids, led by Franie Deaton, knocked it out of the park last Sunday morning. What a blessing it was to see them sharing the Christmas story! I know Jesus was smiling along with the rest of us at the purity and power of our children sharing his birthday in such a way.

The Food Give-Away was Such a Blessing.
We were able to provide food to almost 100 people this past weekend at our Food Give-Away. We are already receiving "Thank You's" from people who were given food. Thanks to all of you who helped, especially Larry and Wilma Bullard and Mike and Vicki Sledge. You did an awesome job of getting everything together. What a joy it was to minister to the people whom we helped and to see our people serving others. It was a God thing for sure.

I read an email a couple of days ago. It had been sent to my wife from a lady in Denver, CO. Here's a glimpse of the story. Mikki and I were in a Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Denver. A lady in the section we were in pulled out a book about schizophrenia. We both saw the title. I sensed Mikki was about to talk to the lady, so I moved on. I peeked back a little later, and there Mikki was sitting on the floor and she and the lady were engaged in an obviously deep conversation. After the woman left, Mikki shared how the young woman had opened up her heart about her life. Her husband had been diagnosed as schizophrenic. She was a married mother of four and was struggling to know what to do as she was near the breaking point. Mikki spent some time just encouraging, sharing with her, and blessing her. Before she left, they exchanged email addresses.
FAST FORWARD SIX WEEKS.
Mikki received a long email from the lady telling her what led up to their meeting in the bookstore. Here is a brief excerpt midway through the email:
"Anyway, I was on my knees a lot in prayer trying so hard to understand what was happening to my husband while trying to hold together my family and 4 boys. I even asked my extended family to join us in extra prayers over the weekend. While many doctors say a diagnosis isn't necessarily that important, treating the symptoms was, I felt like I needed more understanding of what I was dealing with so I could deal with it! Over the weekend I was out running errands and on a whim stopped in the exact Barnes & Nobel I met you...."
She went on to share more particulars of how God gave her strength and guidance which I will not mention here. Then near the end of the email she wrote:
"These experiences were nothing short of miracles for our family - & the book I told you about is the exact book you just recommended to me! I believe in angels, but I believe just as strongly in earthly angels who are put in our path to help. Thank you so much for being an earthly angel to me - and confirming once again I'm on the right path :)"
It is so good to hear a follow-up of how God uses people. I thought this might encourage you to be sensitive to those you meet during this holiday season. Who knows, you, as the angels do, may receive an assignment from the Lord that can deeply impact someone else's life.

As you have read the last few weeks, the ARK will be leading 12 hours of prayer and worship each day throughout the entire month of January from 3:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. I encourage all of our congregation to participate in this throughout the month. You may be able to come for a few hours or just a few minutes but come. I also encourage all of you to join the fast. This is not a legalistic call to fast but a call for us to come together in unity purposefully laying aside some things and setting ourselves apart to seek God's heart for our lives, our church family, and our region.
Notice there are five areas: 1. Fast food - one meal, one day, several days. One food item you normally eat or drink. 2. Pray an extra hour each day.
3. Fast Media - Choose at least one media outlet that is a daily part of your life and lay it aside. 4. Daily seize an opportunity to intentionally encourage another person. 5. Participate in 12/7 Worship and Prayer at our Facility.
Let's all participate and move forward together as a church family and see our own hearts made more tender, the unity among us increase, and the region around us filled with His glory.

Beat the January 9th Deadline!
We are very excited about the forthcoming School of Power and Love which will be hosted by The ARK and Grace House. Registration is currently $60 but will go to $100 after January 9th. This is an awesome time of training and activation. It's a revival atmosphere where love abounds.
Last year so many of us were deeply impacted by the incredible love, power, and anointing of being at this conference. I hope many of you will register and attend. It is life changing. No pressure, just receiving and being activated to do what Jesus did. Please take a moment and check out the details on The ARK's website. Link is below:

What a Christmas Gift! A guy bought his wife a beautiful diamond ring for Christmas. After hearing about this extravagant gift, a friend of his said, "I thought she wanted one of those sporty four-wheel-drive vehicles." "She did," he replied. "But where was I going to find a fake Jeep?"

We are so excited about "Rooted" which is our ministry to preteens led by Allison Fisher. They are currently working on a human video which they will be sharing in one of our services soon. Each Wednesday they meet to study the Bible together and learn how to live a life rooted in Christ during this important transitional time in their lives. Our preteens are awesome. All preteens are invited to attend this weekly gathering to build relationship with Christ and one another. Contact Allison Fisher with your questions.

Franie Deaton, who directs our children's ministry, does a great job of teaching our children truths that will help them build their lives on Christ and the truths of His Word. Each week's lesson is packed with object lessons, biblical truths, and lots of interactive fun. Our children begin the service with we adults at 9:00 a.m. and then transition to their own children's worship around 9:45 a.m. or so. See Franie if you have questions and to let her know if you would like to be one of her assistants occasionally. We also can use good helpers.
