An Important Message This Sunday
This Sunday morning I will be stepping away from the series, RIPPED OFF BY RELIGION, for one week in order to share an important message on my heart with you. The message revolves around the question, DOES GOD LOVE UNCLE SAM? This is a very important time in our nation. There is much talk of political issues, the presidential election, and our nation's economic future. I believe what I will be sharing is timely, important, and rests on what we can know biblically in this season.

Following is a story I shared on Facebook this week that I believe will bless you all:
TESTIMONY: An excited grandmother approached me recently sharing what had happened to her little 6 year old grandson. After experiencing God's manifest presence during worship and ministry time at church, he began sharing his heart with his parents on the way home. The result was that in the car on the way home, this little fellow prayed and received Christ into his life. I saw him last night movi
ng through the altar area as people were standing at the front worshipping together. As he was navigating through the crowd pressing together at the front enjoying what Jesus was doing, I reached out and gave him a big hug and told him I had heard what had happened. With his face beaming, he hugged me back and continued on through the altar area bouncing to the rhythm. I believe Jesus was smiling too!

Let's Help Shoals Sav-A-Life!
We are involved in supporting Shoals Sav-A-Life by having a baby bottle drive. Please be sure to pick up a baby bottle this Sunday. It's as simple as filling the bottles with loose change and encouraging others to do the same. Then return the bottle to the church and all the money will be given to Shoals Sav-A-Life. Your change can change a life.

Victorious Living - Teaching
In case you missed it, this past Wednesday night I shared a teaching entitled: VICTORIOUS LIVING IN 4 WORDS. Here is the thumbnail version:
1. RESTING - Jesus invites us to come to him and he will give us rest. He finished the work of salvation for us and is now seated at Father's right hand. This is also where we are seated. We do what we do now from the place of rest. We are to cease from striving and struggling to get what we already have been given. We learn from Jesus to work from the place of rest. We work because we are sons not to become sons.
2. RECEIVING
- One of the blessings of the Holy Spirit whom we have received through Christ is that He makes known to us all the things that have been freely given to us through Christ. He shows us our benefits so we can live in those benefits and from those benefits. These benefits are for our benefit. We receive them through faith from Christ.
3. RELEASING - Freely we have received, freely we give. We have the authority in Christ to release the kingdom and see the works of Jesus continued in the earth. We are able from our seated position in Christ to see the will of God in Heaven released into the realm of Earth. If we do not know how to rest and receive we will not be very good at releasing.
4. RESISTING
- Part of living in victory is found in submitting to God and resisting the enemy. The enemy is not to set the agenda or lead us. The Holy Spirit leads us and when the enemy interferes, we submit to God and resist Him staying the course in following the leadership of the Holy Spirit and living as Jesus lived.

Please Pray for the Women's Encounter
The North Alabama Women's Encounter is this weekend in the Florence area. Some of our Grace House ladies are leading and serving at this event. There are always some awesome God encounters that take place on these powerful weekends. Please pray that these women will experience God's love and restoring power this weekend.

In less than a month, we will be given the opportunity to vote in the Presidential election. As citizens of this blessed nation, it is important that we exercise our right to vote. Please be in prayer, seek God's guidance, become informed on what the candidates believe and support, and then use the "vote" you have been given to help guide our nation forward. To fail to vote is to forfeit your voice. If you have not registered to vote, then do so as soon as possible.

Nov. 18th - Pastor Stan Tyra
I am excited to introduce someone new to our fellowship, Pastor Stan Tyra. Stan lives in Rogers, Ark. where he pastors Revolution Church. We met on the retreat I attended in N.C. back in August. He was also one of the four of us that was in the UTV accident and he is recovering well. I know you will love his heart and spirit as he comes and ministers to us on Sunday morning, Nov, 18th.
