This Sunday's Message
DIVINE ASSIGNMENTS & APPOINTMENTS
Hello Grace House Family,
First. "Thank You!" for all the prayers and expressions of love for Mikki this past week as she underwent surgery on Wednesday. She continues to improve. She is resting and recovering at home now and will need to do so for the next week or so. We are so grateful to be part of such a loving church family. She sends her love to you all.
Last Sunday's Victory service was over the top. Wow, how we all enjoyed the presence of the Lord and God's love being poured out. I thought the place was going to explode as we all sang Victory in Jesus. The atmosphere was so thick with His presence as we all praised Him. Then we were able to witness a beautiful baptism afterward as Havah Standridge witnessed to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Yeah God! I believe we all left
encouraged.
I am excited about this Sunday as well. Have you ever stepped into a situation only to discover that it was a divine appointment where God had you right where you needed to be in order to do what needed to be done? You probably have.. and it resulted in you
and someone being greatly blessed, right?
Part of learning the ways of the Lord and following the leadership of the Holy Spirit has to do with discerning DIVINE ASSIGNMENTS AND APPOINTMENTS. This coming Sunday I will be teaching on this fascinating subject in order to equip people
to engage the plans and purposes of God in their everyday lives.
I invite you to join us at Grace House this coming Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and learn about DIVINE ASSIGNMENTS AND APPOINTMENTS Come experience the joy of Jesus with us as we worship our Amazing King together.
Would you consider inviting someone to the service this Sunday morning who needs encouragement. Make a call, visit, send a text or FB message. Invite some folks. Great things are happening at Grace House. I just received a wonderful email from a dear lady who brought a loved one to one of our recent services and testified that this person's life has been changed and back in order now. Praise the
Lord!
Blessings,
Pastor Eddie
With much gladness, this coming Sunday Morning we will present Scott and Megan Sewell to our Grace House family. They
will be serving as our new student pastors (for grades 8-12).
They come to us with hearts burning for the Lord and a blessed history of working with students. They are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Malachi and Mya, ages 6 & 5. Both are graduates of the Brownsville School of Ministry and have spent time on the mission field. They have served in Ohio as youth pastors in an inner city church plant. They have served most recently at Christ Chapel in their student ministry.
At this juncture, they will be serving in a part-time capacity while they also continue with their current jobs.
Our Elders have been impressed with Scott and Megan's heart to build life-giving relationships with the students, mentor them to walk with Christ, and to carry a heart for missions. They are committed to raising up students who learn who they are in Christ and are equipped to do the works that Jesus did. They also enjoy have a blast being together with their student
group. Lots of love, lots of fun, lots of Kingdom activity awaits our young people.
Scott and Megan are excited about meeting all of you. There will be a launch party for our students and parents to hang out with them and connect. This will be announced on Sunday morning as well. I hope all of you will be present this Sunday to welcome them to Grace House. We are thankful of our Father for
answering this very important need in our church family.
Our mission project for the month of August is focusing on the upcoming trip of Jim and Anne Bevis to Israel. They will be there for a two month stay in which they will be ministering to pastors of Arab Congregations,
Messianic Congregations, & other Christian Congregations. Jim & Anne will be making information available to you at a table in the commons area on Sunday, August 16 & Sunday, August 23rd. On those dates, we will also have an opportunity for you to sow into this very strategic mission assignment to Israel. So be praying for them and praying for you may be able to sow into the lives of our brothers and sisters in Israel through Jim & Anne's ministry there.
COME PREPARED TO GIVE THIS SUNDAY OR NEXT AT THE TABLE IN THE COMMONS AREA. MAKE YOUR CHECKS OUT TO GRACE HOUSE AND WE WILL PUT IT ALL TOGETHER AND GIVE IT TO JIM AND ANNE.
