SUNDAY - April 19th
PART 2 of
WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT GRACE?

Hello Grace House Family.

We had a great time last Sunday and this past Wednesday night at Grace House. On Wednesday night, Bishop Kyle Searcy brought down the house with a powerful word from God. I am so grateful the Lord blessed us with this Word through His servant.

We'll be continuing this Sunday on the topic WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT GRACE? I am really enjoying studying for this series. I have studied grace several times through the year but this time there is new revelation flowing that is allowing me to have an even greater appreciation for the grace of God. Wow, grace is such a powerful life-changing gift from God. We are learning just what it is, how it operates, and how we can access it. Sunday is going to be good. It will help you to advance in your Christian life. God is working in our midst to create a culture of people passionately devoted to Jesus Christ and full of the love, grace, and power of God. Yahooooooo! Please make a commitment to be in on what God is doing at Grace House.

Make definite plans to be present this Sunday. Take the initiative to invite family and friends to be in the service. Let's all believe we will see the powerful ministry of Jesus flowing among us this coming Sunday. May Father favor and bless you and love people through you.
GRACE HOUSE MISSIONS PROJECTTHE AMAZON JUNGLES OF BRAZIL
JOSIAH AND MEAGAN MCINTYRE
~ Bring your cards and gifts this Sunday to the Commons Area~
For those who may not know, please allow me to introduce to you Josiah and Meagan McIntyre who serve Jesus in a big way in the jungles of the Amazon in Brazil. This is an incredible family with roots right here in the Florence area. Josiah's dad pastors the First United Methodist Church in Killen, AL. They are affiliated with a very reputable mission organization called Youth With A Mission. We are grateful to be able to partner with them in affecting the sphere that God has placed them in. I have met them and they even attended our Wednesday night couple's class last year and shared some with them.

For the past seven years, Josiah, Meagan and their children have lived in a very primitive setting. They currently live in a little town called “Atalaia Do Norte”. Their hearts from day one have been to contact and reach the uncontacted people groups that live isolated in the jungles of Brazil. Obviously, this directive from the Lord has involved much sacrifice with this family who live in many ways "cut off" from the rest of the world. They minister in a number of ways to the people in their town and the surrounding villages sharing the love of Jesus Christ. One thing particularly is a weekly meal that they provide that enables them to meet a tangible need in the lives of the people there while also sharing the love of God and establishing relationships. Following is a response to me when I asked them how we could help support and to pray for them as well.

"We have decisions that we are facing that will forever change our family’s life and lives of uncontacted people groups. We are also facing health issues that we are praying about. We need direction in staying within Brazil or going stateside for a while and possibly Josiah remaining in Brazil for about 2months if God opens the door for contact soon. In the meantime, every Tuesday the Lord put it on our hearts to serve food to any and all people groups here. Currently, there’s about 200 people being fed and there is never any leftover. We just began a Saturday morning kids bible study as well, and there are always a few indians who come to our house on Sundays as well for a service. We just want to be sensitive to the Spirits moving about how and when and what and where, because there is always plenty “to do” (ministry wise) but we need to be focused on what He’s telling us specifically.

With a fly over coming up in the near future (we don’t have a date yet), gasoline is a cost that adds up quickly. We have no idea how many flyover’s we will have before landing, but with the exchange rate, gas is roughly about $250 per hour for each man. Also, we have had a few families sponsor the food ministry on a weekly basis. The prices change greatly depending on the catch of game, but we pay two cooks and a hunter and for rice and beans."

Wow, now that's primitive isn't it. Paying for hunters to go out and bag the food that you cook to feed the hungry.

Please be praying for this amazing couple and their children and for the specific requests made above. In addition I want to ask each of you to prayerfully considering contributing this month through Grace House in order to bless the McIntyres in what Jesus has called them to do. We are endeavoring to build a greater missions culture at Grace House through praying, giving, and going. So far this year we have focused on the homeless in Florence, Cuba, Thailand, and South Korea. Now we are aiming at the jungles of the Amazon River in Brazil. Jesus said to take his Gospel to the nations, so that's what we are doing.

Here are three specific things I want to ask you to do about this:

1. PRAY specifically for Josiah and Meagan and their children.

2. GIVE something financially if at all possible. Think of the difference that we could make if each person in our fellowship gave just $20. You may be able to give more, but please try to give something. Let's all sow into this. We will have a special display this Sunday in the Commons area for you to sow your gift.

3. WRITE a note of encouragement. We will have a place on the display table the last Sunday of April for this also. This is a personal way for you to touch this family with a blessing from God's people.

Again, this is a front line opportunity for us to sow into. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and to prayerfully consider this request.

We plan to focus each month throughout the year on a missions project. You can see what is coming up and what we have already done by viewing our missions page on our gracehouse.info website. CLICK HERE FOR OUR MISSIONS PAGE.
Join our Prayer Watch!
Thanks to all of you who are a part of our daily prayer watch. Please email me at eddie@gracehouse.info and let me know if there is a particular day each week or a certain date each month you would like to commit to praying for our Grace House family. We believe that as we agree and pray unceasingly for God's protection, provision, and power on our families we will see His kingdom come and His will being done.

MORNING WATCH - Pick an hour between MIDNIGHT & NOON
EVENING WATCH - Pick an hour between NOON & MDNIGHT

Several of our people have taken the same day each week when they participate in a morning or evening watch of prayer for Grace House.

Others have selected one, two, or three sessions during the month. Our goal is to have at least two people committed to each morning and evening watch every day of every month. Some days there may be more praying which is great. So please let me know if you can sign up.
