UPDATE FROM PASTOR EDDIE - Friday, January 16, 2015

This Sunday's Message -

Imagine you were standing before two doors. On one the sign said CURSED, the sign on the other said BLESSED. Which one would you choose?
You would choose the BLESSED door, right? Each day we do make choices that will either align us with what is cursed or what is blessed.

I’ll be teaching this Sunday morning at Grace House about breaking free from from the curse and breaking through to the blessing. There’s some simple but very powerful things we can do to experience the breakthrough to blessing. We will look at these practical steps we can take to help us to be people who are seeing the results and benefits in our lives of breaking out of the cursed and breaking through to the blessings of God in our lives.

Is there someone you can contact to attend with you this Sunday? It's going to be a good day as we gather together to worship Jesus and hear from God's Word.

2014 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS

Your 2014 contribution statements will be available this Sunday in the Commons Area. If you have any questions about your giving records, please see Sandra Harper. Thank you again for giving to the Lord through Grace House. May Father bless you greatly.
2 Community Action Projects This Month
This coming Sunday (Jan 18th) we are asking that you bring as few or many ready to eat packaged snacks as you can to help the homeless in our city. Here are some ideas:

Peanut Butter Crackers
Cheese  Crackers
Cereal Bars
Granola Bars
Fruit Snack
Applesauce Cups

We will have a table in the Commons Area to receive these snacks this coming Sunday morning. Howard and Jane Zeff will collect them and carry them to the ROOM IN THE INN ministry which several congregations in our area are involved in. This ministry provides a place to sleep for the night and a hot meal for the homeless during the winter time months. We are grateful for First Presbyterian Church for taking the lead in this.

There are three ways we at Grace House can help:

1. Provide supplies (this is what we are doing this Sunday)

2. Volunteer to help (See Jane Zeff who is our Grace House representative)

3. Prepare a meal. This would involve providing a hot meal for about 20 people. It may be that some in our congregation would like to work together to provide and help serve a meal one night. The meal would be served at the church hosting the homeless for the night.

This is a wonderful way for us to share the love of Christ in our own city to people in desperate need. Again, you can see the Zeff's who are hands on involved in this great ministry.
MAN PRAYER

Join our Prayer Watch!
I believe we are already seeing fruit from our Prayer Watch. Testimonies are beginning to come forth of God at work in our midst. We are grateful for the number of you who have signed up to participate in our morning and evening watch for the Grace House congregation. Our goal is to have at least two people who pray for at least one hour during  each morning and evening prayer watch. The windows of prayer time in which this takes place is between 5 and 9 a.m. & 5 and 9 p.m. This is a special time when the names and needs of our Grace House family is lifted up to the Lord and we also pray for the plans and purposes of God for our church family to be realized. I am truly excited about the impact this will begin to have on all of our lives. Can you say, 'BREAKTHROUGH"?
Coming to Grace House, Sunday, February 15th!
