Happy 4th of July! I am grateful to be a citizen of the United Sates of America. I am proud to be an American. We all pray concerning those things that need to change in order to return us to our roots and create a culture more in alignment with Father's desire, but I also thank God for all the wonderful things that are right and good in America.
Let's continue to pray that good would trump evil and righteousness would exalt our nation. Let's make sure our children can recite the pledge of allegiance to the flag with patriotism in their hearts. Let's make sure we all have the proper honor and respect toward those who serve our nation through the armed forces. Let's make sure we remember the price paid by our founding fathers who through our nation's history have given their all for us to continue to enjoy our
freedoms. Let's all use the power of the vote that democracy affords us to move our nation in the right direction. Let's all choose to make positive contributions through our words and actions to foster an America greater tomorrow that she has been in our yesterdays. God bless the USA!

Did you know that there are two things that can neutralize the Word of God in your life?
Most of you remember that there is one substance that Superman cannot resist - KRYPTONITE. This is the fictional substance that just undoes Superman every time he gets near it.
Well, there are a couple of other "factual" substances that will undo the believer's power when it shows up in our lives. In unmistakable terms Jesus taught about these two
items. I'll be talking about them too on Sunday and how to avoid being neutralized by these enemies of our soul.
This dastardly pair are prevalent around us at all times and we must identify them and nuke them.

BAPTISM THIS SUNDAY AT 2 P.M.
At MCFARLAND PARK
We are excited about baptizing our dear brother Stan Ward this coming Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at McFarland park. Anyone who wants to attend is welcomed to come and anyone else who would like to be baptized, let me know, or just show up ready. We try to be punctual. In other words, if you show up at 2:15 p.m., you'll probably miss it:)
Regional Gathering in Sheffield
Sunday Night at 6:00 p.m.
Several weeks ago, my friend and brother, Mitchell Reed, asked me to attend a regional gathering that would be held in Sheffield this coming Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. There will be several congregations represented from our region. The purpose of the meeting is to be reminded of some of the great things the Lord has done for the Shoals region and to pray together for more of God's plans and purposes to be realized
in our midst. It will be an exciting time as we link arms together as brothers and sisters in Christ. Everyone is invited to attend. So pray about it and if you desire to be a part, we would love to see you there. Here are the time and place details:
Sunday afternoon, July 6th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Open Doors Church in Sheffield. The church is located off of Jackson Highway near the old Bryson's furniture store. Turn east on10th street and turn back left on Pinehurst Boulevard.

Our Grace House Youth will be attending VERGE this Summer. Get with Pastor Joey and/or Valerie for all the details. Verge youth camp is the BEST beach experience of your summer. Young people from across the nation join at SanDestin Beach Resort to encounter Jesus
Christ in a powerful way.
We are so grateful for the growth and excitement that we are experiencing at Grace House. And......we need more people who are willing to serve others. From our nursery, to children, greeters, and more there are opportunities to get plugged in and experience the joy of giving into the lives of others through acts of service.
