Mark your calendars for a special time away from it all at the Joe Wheeler State Park.

Joe Wheeler Resort Lodge offers a fantastic view from the picturesque wood and stone lodge. The Lodge is located just off the main Tennessee River within the quiet beauty of First Creek. The land surrounding the creek is all part of the park and offers a pristine nature backdrop.

The Lodge has been completely renovated during the last two years.

Located in Northwest Alabama, two miles west of Rogersville, off U.S. Highway 72, the park is approximately 50 miles west of Huntsville and 27 miles east of Florence. Interstate 65 and Athens are 22 miles east of the park.

We will begin our time together at 6:30 p.m. in the River Room with its amazing view of the lake and huge stone fireplace. The River Room will be available to us after 2:00 on Friday so you are welcome to come early if you'd like. Otherwise, we will begin a time of worship at 6:30 p.m. followed by sharing and plenty of time to hang out together, deepen friendships and make new ones.

There are two options on dinner for Friday night. You can eat before you come, or you can come early (around 5:15) and eat at the restaurant with some of the women. We are trying to keep your costs down and want to give you the option on this.

Saturday morning will begin at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast at the Lodge. Later we will gather for another time of worship and sharing together. All scheduled meetings will end at lunch but plan to stay around until late afternoon and enjoy our time together. Some women will be eating lunch at the restaurant for those of you who would like to do so.

Hotel rooms sleep four adults. If you prefer a room for two or even a room just for yourself (after all, it is a night away!), just let me know when you register. Pre-register as soon as possible to insure your accommodation choice. I will place you in rooms or you can request your roommates if space allows.

Cost for the retreat for a room with four is $40.00 plus your meal costs. We cannot bring food into the River Room but the restaurant offers meals at a range of costs so you should be able to make it fit your budget. 

Cost for retreat plus a room for two is $58.20 (plus any meal you purchase).

Cost for retreat plus a room for one is $97.00 (plus any meal you purchase).

Cost for retreat without a room is $20.00.

Grace House is offsetting the cost of this retreat for you so the price is terrific as we have access to the lovely River Room from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Plan to hang out there with your friends as the room is quite large. Bring board games or cards if you want or just use your down time to take in the view of the River.

If you have to cancel, we gladly refund your money if you want. We have signed a contract with the Lodge for the retreat and are committed to paying them a certain amount. Sometimes cancellations mean that we (Grace House) have to cover the loss, and we do know that things come up and sometimes you just have to cancel.
