A Brief Word for you to Consider:

Hey Grace House family!

Let me briefly encourage you to prayerfully consider three areas regarding being a member of the Grace House family as we step into 2014.

1. We are asking everyone to consider a Daniel type fast for the first 14 days of January. Choose at least one thing daily to fast as you seek God's wisdom for your life and tune your heart more fully toward Him.

2. Please consider being a faithful part of our Wednesday evening gathering. We will meet from 6:30 and will aim to be out  by 7:45 p.m.

3. Please consider being a part of a life group. This will be such a blessing in your life. We have groups that meet weekly, bi-weeky, and monthly. And....there can be new groups started along the way. Who knows? Maybe you will lead one of them.

Session 4 - Operating in the Spirit Realm - Can a person access the spiritual realm? How do you increase in your ability to operate in the realm of the Spirit? 


We have flyers available in the Commons area that you can hand out to your friends and we also are airing some minutes on WFIX to inform people about this new series.

On January 3, 2014 from 6 - 9 p.m. there will be a Christmas/New Year Party in the home of Brock and Allison Fisher for our Rooted - Preteens. We are excited about how our preteens are growing together in Christ. Contact Allison for further details.

We are so grateful for the togetherness that our life groups are enjoying. 

Our Life Groups Ministry is touching  lives. I rejoice to hear about how our groups are praying for one another, ministering the Word to one another, going places together, building deep relationships. This is an important part of the family life of belonging to a local congregation.

 If you have questions about being in a group or leading a group, just get with Hillard and Charlotte Matthews who lead our Life Groups ministry.

What Does 2014 Hold for Grace House?

2014 is upon us and I look forward to it expectantly. The Bible tells us that the plans the Lord has for us are good. So, let's believe 2014 will hold for us many encounters with God's goodness. The New Year is always a great time to reflect upon our lives and to set our hearts toward all that the Lord desires to do in our lives.

The Christian life is a life of faith. We are confronted time and time again with opportunities to trust God, to be stretched, and ultimately to be changed. I realize more and more that the journey is as much about God changing us as it is about God using us to change the world. Really, the one is necessary for the other.  The past year or so we all have learned more and more about our true identity in Christ. Now let's beginning praying together to see more and more of His love and power being released from our lives.

In many ways I sense God re-establishing His call upon my own own life in three specific areas:

1. I am to work to foster unity among believers in the body of Christ because we have One Lord -- the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. I am to teach to develop believers to expect God to move in supernatural power today just as He did in the days of Christ because we have One Spirit and He is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

3. I am to minister in the area of healing and restoration because Jesus has now ascended and is seated until the restoration of all things. He is continuing his ministry through His body (the Church) to advance His Kingdom in the Earth. 

Now, with this in mind, I will be teaching a new series to kick off this coming year entitled, UNDERSTANDING THE SPIRIT REALM. Why? Because I believe this is what we need now in our journey. We must see clearly the spiritual dimension of our lives. I also believe that many lost people and hungry believers are waiting to hear more about these things. 

So please pray with me that the Holy Spirit would equip us in these areas and that He would move upon hearts as we discuss and invite people to be a part of this. Let's believe together that we will see many people come to know Him for the first time and for others to come to know Him better. May 2014 prove to be a year of restoration and release.

Also, we will be hosting a Night of Healing each fourth Sunday night in 2014 in order to minister in the area of healing outside the confines of our regular services. May there be many healings as a result.

I love all of you and I truly am excited to flip another page of the calendar and head into another new year with you. May Jesus be witnessed in all of our lives in love, wisdom, and power.
