Grace House Update from Pastor Eddie
Special Christmas Missions Project - Ukraine Orphanges
During this Christmas season we are asking our Grace House family to come together around a purpose to bless many orphaned children in the Ukraine by giving to provide them with Christmas presents wrapped with the love of Jesus.
We are excited to partner with our dear sister in Christ, Jean McCrosky who will be leading a team to the Ukraine in the month of January (when they celebrate Christmas there). She will be supplying us with a list of small items we can give plus we want to receive an offering to help her buy most of the needed items once she arrives in the Ukraine. Shipping larger parcels is extremely expensive and she can better steward what is given by purchasing certain items there upon arrival.
We will get more info out to you really soon. Let's all begin to save our coins and bring them together on Sunday, December 15th (of course paper money and checks will be gladly accepted as well). The coins are a great way to involve our children in the process too. We will have a container for you place your coins in during the service.
Upcoming Holiday Service Schedule
Wednesday, Nov. 27 - No mid-week service
Sunday, Dec. 15th - The Children will share during part of the worship service.
Wednesday, Dec. 25 - No mid-week service
Wednesday, Jan. 1 - No mid-week service
Thanksgiving Week at Grace House
Let me wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving week this coming week. We will focus on Thanksgiving in our service this coming Sunday in our worship and through the Word. I am so thankful to God for our Grace House family. You are amazing and wonderful people. Your love, prayers, and faithfulness are making a difference in all of our lives and many other lives around the world. The Lord made us to experience family and I am honored to be part of the Grace House family.
We will not have a mid-week service this week since so many of you will be traveling and preparing for your own families. We will have our Church family time together on Sunday.

Send your story or testimony to Mikki and me at a new email address we have created just for these testimonies which is connect@gracehouse.info . We will be blessed and others will too! Baby & Child Dedication Service - Sunday, Dec. 8th
Please let Mikki know if you have a baby or child you would like to dedicate to the Lord during a special time of prayer in our worship service on Sunday morning, Dec. 8th. You can email Mikki at mikki@gracehouse.info and let her know you want to participate and give her the full name of your child(children) and their ages so we can prepare your a certificate to remember the event.
There will be a time in the service when we invite all the parent(s) and children to the front and we (Pastors and Elders) will present you with a certificate and pray over the parents and children. It will be a very special time of saying and praying that our children will be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord to love Him and serve Him.
Our ARK Family is Acquiring a New Facility
Hello Grace House Family,
This past Sunday Pastor Phillip shared with the ARK congregation that they will be signing papers on acquiring a church facility here in the Florence area. An official announcement with many more details will be forthcoming. We have had the privilege of sharing our facility with the ARK and have a deep and meaningful relationship with them. We certainly will miss them but also celebrate with them as they are able to settle into their own place. They have been praying and looking and God has blessed them with a wonderful place.
The time of transition is yet to be determined and not all the details are final, but I wanted you to be aware of the coming changes. Our Eldership will be meeting this week to discuss the adjustments that Grace House will need to make as a result of this and we will keep you informed. Let's pray for a loving and honorable time of transition. I will miss seeing all of our ARK family on a week by week basis but I know great things await them in this next step of faith before them.
God has been so good to us all and I am grateful that you were willing to extend helping hands to our brothers and sisters at the ARK when they had to move out of their former facility with no place to go. When the ARK came to be with us we did not know if it would be for a life time or a season. Well the sharing of the facility is for a season but the friendships are for a lifetime. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them and pray God's very best for them.
Blessings,
Pastor Eddie
P.S. - We will pass on the timeline and how this may affect our service schedule and activities at Grace House as soon as we know.
Remember Him Through Daily Communion Throughout this Month
We are already hearing many great comments about how meaningful that the daily time of celebrating communion has been to people. I hope you are participating and drawing near to the Lord during this set aside time throughout the month of November.
Elder David Clark recently was stirred by the Lord out of a passage in the book of Judges with the result being that we should consider inviting our congregation to set aside time daily for the 30 days of November to have praise and communion. He shared this in detail this Weds. night before last in the service. I believe this is certainly a positive way for us to come together to experience God's presence and wisdom for this season of our lives. So here is what I ask each of you to consider doing:
As Individuals/Families - Consider having communion together each day at home.
Just before you partake of communion, spend time just praising and thanking God. Focus on what He has done and what He is doing without asking Him for anything. Just praise and thank Him.
As a Congregation - We will celebrate communion each Sunday throughout the month of November in our Sunday morning service along with times of praise and thanksgiving.
Let's believe together that this special focus will bring greater sweetness and strength to us all.
Remember to Find A Life Group and Jump on Board!
We are so grateful for the togetherness that our life groups are enjoying.
Our Life Groups Ministry is touching lives. I rejoice to hear about how our groups are praying for one another, ministering the Word to one another, going places together, building deep relationships. This is an important part of the family life of belonging to a local congregation.
If you have questions about being in a group or leading a group, just get with Hillard and Charlotte Matthews who lead our Life Groups ministry.
You are now able to view all the options on our new Life Groups website at LIFEGROUPS.INFO

Life Group Study on Marriage Oneness
Bryan and Melissa Gregg who lead our Couples In Christ Life Group are leading a new series each Weds. night at 6:30 pm. This is a very practical series called MARRIAGE ONENESS and is for all couples or those about to be a couple. Our Couples in Christ class have a lot of fun together but also go deeper together by equipping couples in dealing with real life "stuff" by applying God's Word. This class is conversational and interactive and will be a blessing to you. Come and dive in with this incredible group of couples. Here is more info about the group.
Our Next Grace House Mission Trip -- Looks like late January.
Please be praying for the development of our next mission trip. This team will purposely be a very small team due to the travel schedule and arrangements and assignment.
About nine years ago the Lord really touched me deeply concerning the island nations. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to see the Lord do some amazing things in the Caribbean. We had an awesome time in Trinidad last year and this past April we saw God do a mighty work in Carriacou and Petite Martinque. It looks as if our next trip will be to Barbados with the possibility of island jumping to revisit Trinidad and Carriacou.
There is no doubt that developing a missions heart is one of the greatest things a congregation can do.
"What in the world is going on here?" said an angry man storming into the florist shop. "I just lost one of my main clients and it's your fault!"
"Why don't you calm down a bit" said the lady behind the counter, "and let us know what exactly happened."
"Well," said the man "My biggest client moved to a new location, and to be nice I called you guys up and asked you to send him some flowers with a note saying "congratulations on your new location."
He calls me up and says to me "what's the big deal with sending me a note that says "rest in peace?!"
"Oh no!" she sighed, now I know why I got a nasty message from the funeral parlor!"
