2020 was a grueling year for medical professionals with COVID-19 overwhelming their physical and emotional resources. I've spoken to several
who've expressed that they are completely exhausted. Many are working long shifts with overtime and seeing crises and death at all-time highs. At the current time, our local hospitals are pretty much maxed out with COVID-19 patients and ICU's are full. Let's all take time to pray for these workers today and in the days to come. I know several GH members who are nurses, doctors, and emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and other medical professionals. I so appreciate their service to our
community and to the Lord.
Could you help encourage these workers in a couple of important ways?
1. Let's gather a listing of GH professionals who are working with COVID patients and make that available on our prayer list so we can cover them in prayer. Send any names to me at 256-740-1865 or let me know in some other way and I'll compile the list.
2. Bring some snacks and goodies to GH beginning January10 where we will collect them and distribute them to local hospitals and EMT workers. Many of you could make some wonderful homemade goodies, too. Let's try not to make anything that needs refrigerated, please.
Let me know if you'd be willing to be part of a team that distributes these goodies weekly.
