Hello Grace House Family!
We’ve heard some exciting news and it looks like things will begin to head back closer to “normal.” Thank you, Lord! Yesterday, Friday, May 8, 2020, Governor Kay Ivey lifted the restrictions for the number of people for non-work gatherings (worship service gatherings)
where a social distance of 6' can still be maintained. This means we can proceed with a plan for our on-site Grace House worship services to begin again some time after May 11. This is good news.
We desire to do this in a manner that will allow us to meet again while honoring the requirements set forth by our State so that the well-being of everyone is kept in mind. Our Elders are working on the next phase of our MOVING FORWARD plan.
We will probably look at beginning with a celebratory outdoor gathering. Then a Sunday or two later, we would begin having multiple shorter indoor services that would allow us to make room for everyone. No definite decisions made yet. Please pray for us as we do desire to set forth what we think is best for us to do right now until there is further loosening of requirements. Worship)
We want to thank all of you for how you have stay connected during this season through our online services, daily devotionals, and communion services and through giving financially during these times. It has allowed us to continue doing what God has called us to do
as a body of believers.
We plan to continue with our current online services for the time being, in addition to other opportunities our MOVING FORWARD plan will include. We are grateful to those of you who have stepped into opportunities to help serve one another and our community during this time. Let us agree this will be a time of advance and not retreat, increase and not decrease, strength and not weakness, in Jesus’ name!
We will communicate with you as quickly as we can concerning the plan going forward. There are still obstacles to overcome in being able to more safely assemble and honor the requirements necessary to do so. We know the Holy Spirit, wise counsel, and prayer will be
given to us all as we seek the Lord. You are loved, valued, and missed. Again, we do desire and appreciate your prayers during this time of mobilization and change.
In His Service,
Pastors Eddie and Mikki and the Elders
